CREATIVE DIRECTOR

JOB OVERVIEW

TRIBE Group is seeking a highly skilled Creative Director to lead our creative team and drive the visual direction of our brand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design, exceptional leadership abilities, and a passion for developing innovative and visually compelling content. This role requires a visionary thinker who can translate business goals into effective design strategies and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality creative work.

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creative Direction

    • Lead the creative team in the development and execution of visual concepts that align with TRIBE and its subsidiaries / associates’ brand identity and objectives.

    • Establish and maintain a cohesive and compelling visual brand identity across all channels.

    • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including digital assets, print collateral, social media content, and promotional materials.

    • Develop and implement creative strategies to enhance brand awareness and engagement.

    • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and other departments to ensure design consistency and alignment with overall business goals.

  • Design Conceptualisation

    • Develop original design concepts and visual approaches for marketing campaigns, product launches, events, and other initiatives.

    • Conduct brainstorming sessions with the creative team to generate innovative ideas and concepts.

    • Create mood boards, sketches, and prototypes to present design ideas and concepts to stakeholders.

    • Refine and iterate on design concepts based on feedback and project requirements.

  • Graphic Design

    • Create high-quality, visually appealing designs for a variety of media, including web, social media, printing materials, etc.

    • Design and produce marketing materials, such as digital graphics, social media posts, newsletters, web-based graphics, ads, flyers, brochures, exhibits, and/or displays, with a strong sense of typography, composition and visual balance.

    • Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a high standard of quality and creativity.

    • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate best practices into design work.

    • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and meeting deadlines.

  • Project Management

    • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of creative projects from concept to completion.

    • Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of assets.

    • Works closely with the management, marketing team, web developer, copywriter, photographer and across departments to create impactful work across all media and ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences for the digital user.

    • Adapts and rolls out approved concepts to various media, above and below the line. o Coordinates the printing production process to ensure quality is up to par, writes printing and other reproduction specifications (selects ink, paper, and print quality), inspects proofs for accuracy; recommends contractors (typesetters, printers, illustrators, photographers, cartographers).

    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address any issues or concerns.

    • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Creative Multimedia, Visual Arts, or equivalent, or demonstrable experience in graphic design.

  • Exceptional creativity and a keen eye for detail.

  • Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively, adapt to trends and conceptualise original ideas.

  • Excellent communication skills to accurately convey concepts needed by the company.

  • Strong organisational and project management abilities.

  • Up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
