BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & PR MANAGER

JOB OVERVIEW

At TRIBE, we see the Business Development as one of the key contributors in growing TRIBE and its subsidiaries and associates’ by identifying and acquiring opportunities for expansion, new partnerships and products / services, supporting TRIBE Group’s continued growth and success, and reaching out to new audiences, which will in turn help to generate both immediate and long term value, including revenue, sponsorship, brand heat, awareness, and customer acquisition to the business. Our ideal candidate needs to be able to think strategically to position TRIBE and its subsidiaries and associates’ brands and forge new relationships to reach the desired outcomes and obtain better brand recognition and financial growth.

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Development & Portfolio Management

    • Conduct extensive industry, market and company research including quantitative and qualitative analysis, which includes and not limited to identify key industry trends, new fitness concepts, competitive factors, consumer behaviour, etc.

    • Identify, creatively structure, negotiate, and execute strategic deals across a wide array of partners, brands, corporates and verticals that satisfy TRIBE Group business goals, which includes but not limited to developing business expansion plans, acquiring new members, unlocking brand partners’ revenue and/or provide value-add benefits to TRIBE, its subsidiaries and associates’ community.

    • Actively identify new business opportunities and partnerships to enhance TRIBE and its subsidiaries and associates’ brands and portfolios, including new service categories and new markets (domestic and international). This includes searching for and making first contact with new and potential partners, key industry players, media, agencies and community.

    • Build a partner network across key wellness, retail, and other lifestyle categories, striking opportunities that meet our target consumer where they are and punctuate our brand positioning to fuel awareness and acquisition (health, fitness, media, travel, fashion, culinary, etc.).

    • Create a pipeline of new projects and partnership opportunities that will support the overarching brand strategy and business objectives, while ensure the initiatives are aligned with the company’s visions and core values.

    • Conduct due diligence on prospective new opportunities and partnerships.

    • Determine opportunities to continue to expand the brands and businesses both domestically and internationally, and identify new products and services to expand the TRIBE Group.

    • Work closely with product, finance, operations and marketing teams to develop strategies to grow revenue and increase consumer awareness of TRIBE via partner audiences, and to execute partnerships and ensure the expected and desired outcomes are met.

    • Track the progress of each partnership and acquisition campaigns, obtain feedback from each stakeholders involved, and conduct post-mortem at the end of each campaign.

    • Organise or seek out relevant opportunities to be involved in events, conferences, trade shows, etc.

  • Public Relations

    • Build TRIBE’s external network and discover high growth brands that can provide value to TRIBE and the community.

    • Identify and coordinate speaking opportunities to increase visibility for TRIBE brand and the offerings.

    • Build and maintain / leverage relationships with relevant media and influencers to educate them about TRIBE’s offerings.

    • Write and edit press materials including press releases, blog posts, announcements, bylines, pitches, etc.

    • Work with key industry players and partners to tell joint stories at events and in the press when appropriate.

    • Manage TRIBE’s reputation in the media, oversee and strengthen key media relationships and leading strategy for all Company initiatives, including any crisis management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Either a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or PR (or a related field) or demonstrable experience in business development together with the potential and attitude required to learn.

  • Proven ability to source partners for acquisition and revenue growth, bringing a substantial network of existing relationships.

  • Ability to make thoughtful, actionable recommendations under pressure, and quickly build consensus with senior level internal and external stakeholders.

  • Relationship builder. Outgoing, high energy, and persistent personality, and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.

  • Resourceful, organised, meticulous and has the ability to quickly adapt to change.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.

  • Proficient in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
